Marion is an experienced data professional and specialises in the creation of data functions, increasing data maturity & creating value from data.
As a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt she adapts the concepts and processes and repurposes for the world of data.
Currently Director of Data and Analytics at RWS, she works with offices around the world to harness the power of data. She is focused on growing the maturity of the data function, delivering value from data and building a revenue stream from data.
Passionate about data she is transforming data culture internationally by increasing data literacy and delivering timely analytics to the right people at the right time.
Marion believes that data literacy and understanding should be a basic skill and that everyone should have both the knowledge and opportunity to use data every day to make informed decisions. During the pandemic Marion contributed to a “Analytics Interpreted, A compilation of perspectives” which is a compilation of thought leadership, experienced-based perspective and frameworks across the spectrum of relevant topics in analytics, published by Women in Analytics.

Some of the questions we are always being asked are ‘What value will this piece of work bring to the business?’ Why should we invest in these projects? How do we quantify the value?
These questions are notoriously difficult to answer, while we are answering these questions we can look to multiply the value of any given data set by looking for additional uses and values.
